MOBILE Ala. (WPMI) Protesters stood outside the circus Saturday to raise awareness about animal cruelty.
"Today's peaceful prayer vigil for circus animals was a grass roots effort to educate others on what they say goes on behind the scenes to put together the circus," said Protest Coordinator Tracey Glover said.
She said all circuses go out of their way to present what is appealing to the public, but it is her job to reveal what takes place behind the scenes.
The protesters said they are not affiliated with any umbrella organization.
