2009 Gibson Les Paul 1959 50th Anniversary DaPra Limited Edition 1of25
[ Ссылка ]
In 2009 Gibson celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 1959 Les Paul and changed/improved around 20 details compared to former Reissues. They received a new pickguard shape, non-wire ABR-1 and a deeper and more pronounced top carve only to name a few. The famous collector and owner of the iconic original vintage 1959 Les Paul "Brock-DaPra-Burst", Vic DaPra, did a small run of only 25 guitars and handpicked the maple tops to match the looks and color of his beloved Les Paul. The color was called "DaPra Glossy Bourbon Fade" and looks really beautiful. This particular guitar has faded a lot and you can see the old and darker red under the toggle ring and the pickguard - just like on the old Les Pauls from the golden 50s! This guitar has been played. There are dings and dongs and playwear and it's definitely not a case-queen - for a good reason: it just sounds fantastic. We have been really suprised how good it sounds. This is also caused by the changes the former owner made: typical "makeover" changes such as a new wiring kit with great working Angela PIO capacitors and two wonderful sounding handwound Stephens Design Vintage Lab humbuckers that cost $650 a set and are supposed to be some of the best available repro-PAF pickups on the market. Also the jack plate was changed to a new one. If you're in the market for a superior player that started as a collectors item and is part of a very sought-after limited run - this is your new guitar! Comes with original Gibson Custom case and COA.
