Double Forts have changed slightly in the 6.5 build, building the walls and upgrading the fort at the war table will produce the following results:
No Walls: 2 Knight Guards
Build Walls: Add 2 Ranger Guards
At Level 4: Add 2 Cleric Guards
At Level 8: Add 2 Confessor Guards
At Level 10: More Wall Hitpoints
Fort walls now regenerate HP, so you need a certain amount of DPS to even take them down. This rewards investment in building walls and upgrading by preventing solo or small groups from taking the walls down, and slowing larger forces.
