ART APPRECIATION 101 [23RD MAY 2024] - The Cultural Development Foundation is encouraging the public to showcase more appreciation for public displays of art, following the vandalism of a sculpture in the city. The giant-sized wooden chair piece, named "Momma," was commissioned specifically for the Jazz and Arts on the Square segment of the 2024 festival. CDF Media and Communications Officer, Ryan Jermain indicated that the foundation is using the unfortunate incident as an opportunity to highlight the importance of protecting local art. Quinn St. Juste tells us more in this report.
