We found and tried a Singaporean Chef's recipe for fried prawn paste chicken. We used an air fryer to test out this dish and it turned out pretty well without needing lots of frying oil.
Ingredient list (Marinade):
- Midjoint chicken wings (1 kg)
- Baking powder (1 tsp)
- Huatiao Shaoxing Wine (1 capful)
- Ginger Juice (1 soup spoon)
- Garlic (1 tsp)
- 5 spice (0.5 tsp)
- Black Pepper (1 tsp)
- Soy sauce (2 tsp)
- Salt (1 tsp)
- Sugar (1 tsp)
- Oil (1 soup spoon)
- Oyster sauce (2 tsp)
- Egg (1 whole)
- Fine shrimp paste (2 tsp)
- Flour (2 soup spoon)
- Custard powder (2 soup spoon)
- Cornstarch (2 soup spoon)
