In this video I explain what a bioactive setup for your rat cage is and how you can switch to bioactive yourself! I’m by no means an expert but wanted to share what I’ve learned so far. I cover everything from making your own DIY acrylic bin to setting up and maintaining your soil.

What you will need to make an acrylic bin:
- Tape measure for measurements
- Custom size acrylic panels
- Painter’s tape
- Extra strong and water resistant tape OR
- Suitable sealant/glue
- File for filing down sharp edges
