Buying Local Honey. Local Food and Honey from the Farmers' Market. Cooking Tip of the Week! My Saturday morning cooking tip of the week is to buy local honey! Some of the honey that is in your grocery store is not real honey. To ensure that you get the best tasting honey for your cooking and recipes, buy from a local beekeeper. You can find local honey at farmers markets, farm stands, specialty stores, organic markets, or even right at the beekeepers house or site. It is so much better than grocery store honey! It even might help you with your allergies.
