The shades of picric dyed pheasant barbs seems to be highly appreciated by grayling and trout in Autumn.
What is also interesting is how legs help the fly to be balanced. If you let some CDC barbs outside and then you tie them as legs or simple hackle, the fly will have a fantastic water print.
