Since the U.S. Government acknowledged foreign intrusion attempts in 2016 and 2020, election security has been an increasingly hot topic for discussion. In that time, the New York State Board of Elections (NYSBOE) has worked with County Boards of Elections and County IT Directors to identify and remediate security gaps while also establishing a whole-of-government approach to monitoring and responding to security concerns during the election period.
