Today we remember Shannen Doherty, a famous actress for acting in Barrados no Baile and Charmed. Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh on the hit show, was diagnosed with the tumor in June last year. However, in 2015 she had already been treated for breast cancer. Its iconic characters brought joy to many young people.
Additionally, we pay tribute in this video to the great American player, Jacoby Jones. Originally from New Orleans, Jones was selected by the Texans in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft after playing college football at Lane College.
We also pay tribute to legendary fitness icon Richard Simmons who passed away at the age of 76. Simmons rose to fame by opening gyms across the country and through his high-energy workout videos released during the '70s and '80s, including "Sweatin' to the Oldies" and "Party off the Pounds."
Polish writer and journalist Edward Redliński was born on May 1, 1940, in Frampol, Poland. He is best known for his works which often explore rural life in Poland and the social changes affecting the countryside.
Legendary Sydney radio star Ron E Sparks, who famously criticized young Kyle Sandilands for smoking in the studio, has died aged 72. Along the way, Sparks did voiceover work for Wheel Of Fortune and even hosted a episode of the ABC TV music program Countdown.
