🎹 This MIDI rendition is one of my personal favorites! Created through a collaborative effort involving 29FroilanJR, Emblazon, and reymundokun, it began as a special project celebrating the 2nd anniversary of 29FroilanJR's Discord server. Originally initiated by 29FroilanJR and Emblazon, Emblazon mainly helped with the first part (up until approximately 55 seconds), while reymundokun focused on the chorus and end part. I especially liked Emblazon's skillful translation of the original song's percussive elements into piano notes.
Regarding the original song, "Idol" (Japanese: アイドル) serves as the opening theme for the anime "Oshi No Ko," composed by Ayase and performed by Ikura as part of the duo YOASOBI. If you haven't already watched the anime, I highly recommend it! It delves deeply into emotional and heartfelt themes, skillfully addressing challenging subjects such as the inner workings of the entertainment industry.
