From the Instructor, Dr. Dennis Hartlieb:
"A common mistake I see on veneer preparations is margins that are prepped too close to the contacts. In order to minimize tooth preparation and maintain as much tooth structure as possible, we will prep the margins buccal to the contacts using a "prep-less" technique that is a viable treatment option for many patients. This clip reviews the elbow design technique I use on maxillary bicuspids to create preps that 1) are easy for my ceramist to define the margin for the final veneer, 2) make it easier for me to seat the veneer, and 3) are better for the soft tissue.
My "prep-less" veneer preparation technique will save you time and help you overcome the unique challenges presented when prepping maxillary bicuspids for veneers."
