Today we’re breaking down this TED Talk by Spanish fashion designer Bosco Tamames. He talks in depth about his journey on learning more about fashion, the Spanish schooling system, his experience in it and what the future holds for him. Bosco uses a lot of really interesting Spanish vocabulary, some of which are unique to Spain but most of which can be found throughout the entirety of the Spanish-speaking world.

This video will also be a fantastic listening practice for any Spanish learners, since he speaks clearly but not too easily. You will be able to listen to him, try and understand as many words as you can, and then I will break the speech down for you, so that you can learn the hardest/most complicated words in there.
In short, the goal of today’s video is that you leave this video understanding almost 100% of this Spanish TED Talk or, at least, learn some really useful Spanish vocabulary that you will be able to use in your daily conversations, while giving school & work presentations and, also, learn some of the cultural uses and context that the words Bosco is using have. Which, by the way, is quite important while learning to speak Spanish, since not every term used in Spain will be commonly used (or even properly understood) in every Spanish-speaking country.
By the way! If you want to really skyrocket your Spanish learning, make sure to try out FluentU!
