NO CORN, IT'S BACK! 12 Things YOU Should Know About Huitlacoche | Edible Fungus & GROWING Mexican Mushroom | Guten Yardening
For the second year in a row, we are fortunate to have huitlacoche (corn smut) growing in our garden. While most people probably see the corn galls and think that they look like alien creatures, this fungus (sometimes called cuitlachoche) is considered a delicacy by some and is not only an edible fungus, but is a highly delicious one.
In this video, we talk about 12 of the most important things we have learned about huitlacoche, including how the corn smuts fungi taste, and we try to ease your minds about eating it, if you have never done so before.
