Shared GPU memory is the amount of regular system memory (DDR) that your computer sets aside when you run out of the faster memory (GDDR) from your dedicated or discrete GPU.
So, shared GPU memory is slower and it comes from regular RAM. Dedicated GPU memory is faster, and it is a special kind of RAM that comes with your GPU.
