The history of the dig at Sutton Hoo in Suffolk, East Anglia. As a Suffolk gal born and bred I grew up learning about this amazing place and it's history. Having been there many times, and loving the place I thought I would make a video explaining the history of the excavations that unearthed the largest find of an intact Anglo Saxon King's ship burial and the many treasures within. If you ever get the chance to visit then I would highly recommend it, it has atmosphere, lovely scenery and most of all vast amounts of history :) This place and the 1939 excavation find has now been made into a film called "The Dig", which is definitely now on my list to watch :)
