A research team has successfully completed China's first full-size superconducting test run for an ultra-high-speed magnetic levitation (maglev) train. Once completed, it will be capable of running at a whopping 1,000 kilometres per hour under ideal conditions. The train is expected to be used for commuting between mega-city clusters in the future.
