(24 Jul 2020) As thousands of demonstrators gather outside the U.S. courthouse in Portland, Oregon, to protest police brutality and the presence of federal law enforcement in the city, at least one protester said he was disturbed by the violence the night before, when federal officers tear gassed demonstrators and Portland's Mayor.
"There were definitely some molotovs that were thrown. And I'm just appalled by that, I dislike that."
Taylor also said federal officers are escalating the violence. He said a tear gas cannister damaged the shield that he is using to protect other protesters.
"They are definitely not being discriminatory about what they shoot at you. They only care that it hits you and it hurts," he said.
