Here is another fine old recording by Frank Sinatra from his Columbia period. "Some Enchanted Evening" from the 1949 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific was recorded for the first time by Frank Sinatra on February 28, 1949 on Columbia Records with arranging and conducting by Axel Stordahl and featuring celesta and strings. The song can be found on the Columbia CD box set, The Best of the Columbia Years, 1943-1952 and The Columbia Years 1943 – 1952: The Complete Recordings: 12 CD Box Set. Sinatra was to record it again on July 25, 1963 and July 24, 1967 for The World We Knew album. I do not own the right to the song, audio, or images contained in this video.
