The ingredient used to make this Ertugurl Ghazi ayran drink:
- 1/2 Cup of yogurt
- 1 Cup of water
- Salt to taste

This traditional Asian drink, which is so regularly found since the time of the ancient Persian empire as well as for centuries consumed by Turkish people is especially very good to have after eating a heavy rice meal or after eating a heavy meat meal.
In Turkey, this drink is known as ayran and is considered its national drink. However, the Persian people call this drink doogh.
For those like me who are BIG Dirilis Ertugrul fans, we see that this drink was served even in those times, which is going back to the 13th century.
Previously when I was on my visit to Istanbul Turkey, after meals you'd see ayran in every restaurant and it's just the perfect way to finish one's meal.
As this is a traditional Turkish beverage, this certainly classifies as an Ottoman drink recipe. Ottoman's would have had this drink recipe at the forefront of each meal they sat for.
So go ahead and drink what the father of the Ottoman's Ertugrul Ghazi and his followers as well as his ancestors and descendants have drunk for centuries. We present for you this incredible traditional Turkish ayran drink that you must at least try making and drinking once.
