Surfing is still permitted on the North Shore and we saw John John Florence, Jordy Smith, Barron Mamiya and friends all get in on the action. And how about Koa Rothman, who explained, "I honestly thought I was going to die on this wave.
THE WSL VAULT GOES TO RIO
And from John John's backyard to his first Championship Tour victory, this weeked The Vault is diving into the 2012 Billabong Rio Pro. Joel Parkinson may have been at the peak of his career, but the 19-year-old was coming on strong.
LANGBURNE STYLES RAGLAN
17-year-old Oscar Langburne has style for days. And his latest clip, "Away From Numbers," shows the prodigious young talent in full flow at Raglan in New Zealand. Any kid that intros his clip with the French arthouse classic "Betty Blue" deserves some love!
RAGE 3 LEAKS BONUS CUTS

Before Californians had to hang at home, surfer, stylist and shaper CJ Nelson spent some time at the Surf Ranch testing his new mid-length model the "Outlier". Firewire just dropped a complete collection of CJ's shapes on their website, so cruise on by and take a look at the new tech powering these longer designs.
