No, two west metro teams weren't battling out. Instead, students were trying to topple their teachers.
The teachers-versus-student match-up was actually a fundraiser for earthquake victims in Japan. Students could pay to watch the game—or pay a little more to join in themselves. Concessions and wristbands added to the pool of donations.
"We really want to provide opportunities for kids to do things for other people as part of our content and our curriculum," said Kim Campbell, a seventh grade social studies teacher at the school.
