The grave of Anne of Cleves, fourth wife of Henry VIII, is located in Westminster Abbey. Anne died in 1557 and was the only one of his Queens to be buried there. Her monument was never completed and is now almost obscured by other monuments built around it. The monument displays her initials, AC and is decorated with a crown and skulls and crossed bones. Her coat of arms is on the right hand side of it. According to Westminster Abbey’s website, it ‘was probably made by Theodore Haveus of Cleves’. A simple inscription was added over 400 years later which reads ‘Anne of Cleves Queen of England. Born 1515. Died 1557’. #shorts
