Some of the main diseases to look for include tar spot, gray leaf spot, and northern corn leaf blight. When you go to spray to manage these diseases, its important to look at what your corn hybrid is rated for, so you know if your corn has a tolerance or not to the disease. Spraying your corn with a fungicide will not only will help manage diseases but can also help you increase your yield potential. Keeping your corn happy, healthy and green will allow it to achieve its maximum yield potential, without any diseases or pests pressuring its growth.
