DESCRIPTION ABOUT THE PROJECT: (Text by the architects)
As a rare long time resident of the coveted East Gate of Bel Air, there was no better visionary to procure the finest lot of the neighborhood. In 2011, a serene promontory on the elite Bel Air Road called his name. Just moments from Sunset Boulevard, this hilltop nirvana was the ultimate canvas to channel his talent into the defining estate of Los Angeles. A culmination of a lifetime of seasoned style, knowledge, skills, and people: the groundwork was laid for his masterpiece.
To inject life into his masterpiece, Dr. Kanodia envisioned his striking estate to be infused with the purest form of beauty available: Mother Nature. Sprawling terraced gardens of earth’s finest creations grace the home with euphoric and unique fragrances. For the soul, gorgeous champaca, crinium, and other exotic beauties of India charm the eyes with organic elegance. For the body, fruiting trees birth you the grandest of delicacies: from rose apples, loquats, mulberries, figs, jujube along with an elaborate array of herbs and vegetables. Life’s great beauty is bountiful with butterflies dancing around the gardens, prancing humming birds lapping up nectar, eternally lucky ladybugs and bees pollenating new life. True tranquility is found where home is not bound by four walls; man and god’s creations interfuse to form a wondrous estate of the modern world.

▪ Introduction : Paul McClean trained as an architect in Ireland and founded McClean Design in 2000. Over the last fifteen years, MCCLEAN DESIGN has grown into one of the leading contemporary residential design firms in the Los Angeles area committed to excellence in modern design. We are currently working on more than twenty large homes across much of Southern California with additional projects in San Francisco, Vancouver and New York.

We keep an open mind on questions of style preferring to strike a balance between the best solution for the site, our clients’ preferences, and what is potentially approvable for each particular site.
We work with both homeowners and developers and our staff offers a full range of design skills ensuring that our projects are completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards.
