You can see the blue skies, and hear the birds singing. With factories shuttered, traffic gone from the roads and many of our throwaway consumer habits suddenly curtailed - the environment has, at least, been free to flourish.
But as we mark Earth day - in the rush to restore economies after lockdown restrictions are eased - will protecting the planet be consigned to the back seat?
