Join me for this first look at the Osprey Stratos 36 rucksack. I was looking for a backpack to use mainly for spring and summer wild camps. It will sit between my Lowe Alpine day bag and my Osprey Kestrel 48 rucksack that's used for winter wild camps when I need total loads of gear.

The pack has loads of features that will be really useful when wild camping and backpacking and seems really comfortable from my first impressions and first fitting. I'm looking forward to taking it out on all of my upcoming trips so stay tuned to see how it performs over time.

As with all rucksacks I would recommend visiting the shop to get fitted properly for one if you can. Otherwise be prepared to order one to try and send it back if it is not suitable for you. Rucksacks are a personal choice and what's perfect for one person may not be suitable for another so make sure you get the right rucksack for you.
