Just received this Kickstarter reward recently. The wait to get this thing was ridiculous and customer service/support was terrible/non-existent. However, the product itself appears to be pretty well made. Rowing felt fine except for the "bump" experience in the middle from the connection point. Resistance, even after using the doubler, is lacking and I can't go superfast because the base unit couldn't retract fast enough. This causes a problem when you attempt to go faster and the wire/rope comes off the doubler and get stuck in the gap between the doubler and the space in the handle where you install the doubler (hard to explain without a visual). So one should be careful when rowing with the doubler to prevent the wire/rope from getting stuck. I do like the paddle attachment. I actually like it better than actual rowing. I find the motion is fluid and realistic. Also, you don't need a dedicated dragonboat seat for dragonboating. Just lock the seat in place with the pin and have your lower hand grip at the very bottom of the paddle. That's the proper way to hold a dragonboat paddle anyway.
