Shiro Tsuji, the craftsman of this guitar has his craftshop located in south western part of Toyama prefecture.
He started his career as a craftsman at the year of 1961 and since then, he has established his status as living legend of guitar crafting industry through his 58 years of hardworking.
After he started to craft guitars independently in 1973, he became a pioneer to make Archtop guitars made of hand curved solid woods. He once again enhanced his reputation as a craftsman via repairing “Tsumura Collection” which is known as one of the most famous international vintage guitar collection. He also repaired many types of guitars such as Gibson and Martin that were introduced to Japan by American Soldiers after World War II.
DA-17 we offer this time was designed based on New Yorker model of Jimmy D’Aquisto who is, without a doubt, a world-well known Archtop guitarist. This guitar mounts Guild Dearmond RHYTHM CHIEF 1100 as floating type pick up. Controlling knobs are 1Vol 1Tone and are located on a pick guard.
A lot of professional guitarists have complemented this model in the handcraft guitar show in Tokyo.
