The movie presents an easy way to make a so called ferrofluid pocket bearing. A ferrofluid can be seen as a fluid that is attracted by a magnet. The movie shows a ring shaped magnet that makes a ring shaped ferrofluid seals that encapsulates a pocket of air. The pocket of air now carries the major part of the load while the function of the ferrofluid is is to keep the air inside.
