Here we'll consider an IR lasing option for your NV: the proven Steiner DBAL A3 module. Both the visible green and IR lasers are co witnessed so sight in for the IR laser is easier. Construction is top notch and its meant for rough use; many like this unit have seen are seeing service in the US Military. This is a quick overview of the module and not meant to cover every technical detail.
Some downsides exist like its confusing, weirdly marked switch, battery life, higher 7 oz weight, high cost, and form factor. Also of this will frame my review. Trevor, an elite TNP Patron, has the DBAL A3 mounted on a monolithic Colt 6940 upper, a stable host. In field testing with Sean is shown. An ATN PVS-7 Gen 3 on a Wilcox/Team Wendy bump helmet was the NOD. Competitive options like the Olight Baldr IR and Holosun LE221 which I prefer are discussed and shown below.
