I made this jam as an exploration of interfacing my DSI Pro 2 and Eurorack rig. I think the chord progression is pretty cool too. The Pro 2 has 4 CV outs and a gate out so it plays nice with Eurorack.
All the sounds from this track are coming out of the modular's stereo out. The Pro 2 lead sound is the star of the show in my opinion, especially the end. It is going into the Belgrad set on a bandpass setting. It occasionally send an oscillator from the Pro 2 into the FM in on the Belgrad for some gnarly results.
The Eloquencer is sequencing everything, it is a long sequence so there are 16 pages of 16 steps! The drums are a combo of a Bernard Purdie sample I completely mangled uploaded into the Disting MK4 as well as the Basimilus Alter and the Pico drums.
The bass is the Acid Rain Chainsaw through the Pico filter. I am modulating the waveshape as well as the detune.
The other melodic part of the patch is the 2 Roland oscillators through the 2 Roland filters. They are each playing slightly different parts. The filters are being modulated by envelopes as well as some LFOs, which are being modulated by envelopes to give the impression of delay. They are then going into the cold mac where they're being panned in some crazy way I don't entirely follow.
The SV1 is on a e-piano patch. I've got the gain cranked and some serious onboard compression on it. I'm running that through the Chase Bliss MOOD. I'm looping a part I played and using it for reverb.
Hope you dig it!
