Which place is better for digital nomads: Bali or Thailand? What do you think?
Both of these places are extremely popular among tourists, but especially among digital nomads.
Bali was considered a digital nomad haven for a long time, and I've noticed this particular group gravitating a little more towards Bali than Thailand.
In my opinion, if you're a digital nomad, you should probably choose Thailand. Why do I think so?
First of all, the quality of the internet is better in Thailand. Some people will argue with me on this, but I think that the quality of the internet is still not perfect in Bali.
The second thing why I prefer Thailand is simply the accessibility of things. I really disliked the fact that in Bali I have to go out and buy water every day. I also think that infrastructure in Bali is on the edge of collapsing, and traffic is just horrific. The small island wasn't built to handle the number of people that are coming there.
It's also important to note that Thailand recently introduced a Digital Nomad visa, that lets you be in the country for 6 months. Also, if you stay long enough tax consequences are worse in Bali (Indonesia) than in Thailand.
