Thai desserts like mango sticky rice, also known as Khao Niao Mamuang in Thua, are well-known and adored there. The mix of sticky rice, luscious mango slices, sweet coconut sauce is straightforward but delicious.
Mango Sticky rice is made by soaking glutinous rice and steaming it until it is soft ang sticky. A delicious coconut sauce made of coconut milk, sugar and a dash of salt is then added. The dessert gets a creamy and fragrant flavor from the coconut sauce.
Fresh slices of ripe mango, which are sweet, juicy, and refreshing in contrast to the rich and sticky rice, are served alongside the sticky rice. For added taste, extra coconut sauce may occasionally be sprinkled on top.
Typically served as a dessert, mango sticky rice is especially popular in Thailand from April to June, when mangoes are in season. It is frequently served warm or at room temperature. Sticky rice, sweet coconut sauce and delicious mango come together to provide a lovely concoction of tastes and texture that is both creamy and reviving.
