(11 Sep 2019) Czech President Milos Zeman was welcomed on Wednesday by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during the second day of his visit to Belgrade.
Zeman arrived in Serbia on Tuesday for a two-day visit that is expected to focus on improving trade links between the countries.
The Czech Republic is among the 22 European Union member states that have recognised Kosovo independence after it split from Serbia in 2008 following a bloody war in 1998-99 that ended with NATO air strikes.
The US also backs Kosovo's statehood while Russia and China have sided with Serbia in the dispute.
