Refuge Retreats are an invitation to the practice of coming home to yourself and community. These seasonal online half-day retreats are anchored in sitting meditation practice, in addition to embodiment, interpersonal development, creative exploration, and the potent wisdom of key Zen teachers and texts. Refuge Retreats will happen Sundays, Jan 30, April 10, July 10, Sept 25, & Dec 18 from 8am-1pm PST. Anyone interested in deepening meditation practice is welcome, beginner and seasoned practitioners alike.
Agenda Example for REFUGE RETREAT:
Hour 1 (8-9am PST): Welcome, Overview & Guidelines, Clarifying Intentions, Interpersonal Connecting, A Personal Ritual of Beginning
Hour 2 (9-10am PST): Embodiment (Gentle Guided Yoga or Movement - 20 minutes), Bio Break, Meditation Instruction, Sitting & Walking Meditation
Hour 3 (10-11am PST): Dharma Talk & Discussion, Interpersonal Connecting
Hour 4 (11am-12pm PST): Meal Break + Meditative Time in Nature, Contemplative Writing & Creative Expression
Hour 5 (12-1pm PST): Sitting & Walking Meditation, Integration & Closing

You will have the opportunity to meet 1-1 with Brooke and Lisa for additional guidance and support around your practice questions during these retreats. With the intention of supporting you to realize and manifest wisdom and compassion in your own lives, each retreat will have a different theme connected to the season and to the current context.
