Preetesh Jain, MD, PhD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses the poor outcomes of patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who relapse following CAR-T therapy. Dr Jain comments on the potential benefit of new treatment approaches, such as first-line CAR-T and combination therapies using novel agents, and highlights the need for a better understanding of the factors that lead to CAR-T resistance.
