BOULDER, Colo. — It took several minutes to shear off most of Alex Tellers long, thick brown hair.
Cheers erupted from the friends and family gathered Sunday at Boulders Salon Salon as about 18 inches of her hair was cut to be donated to Wigs for Kids, which provides wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment.
But Teller didnt stop there.
Her stylist kept cutting, taking off the rest of her glossy locks and then shaving her head as people joked about the 38-year-old mothers need for a nose ring to complete her punk look, shouted encouragement — you look gorgeous — and cried.
