“A lot has happened since [Zappos’ CEO Tony Hsieh’s first book, Delivering Happiness] was published,” says Tia Zuniga, project manager of brand strategy. “This book is the voice of the employees.”
In this episode of Zappos Stories, we speak with the team behind the book “The Power of Wow,” which took 2.5 years from the spark of an idea to hitting digital and physical bookshelves. Zuniga and co-collaborators Kelly Smith and Derrin Hawkins discuss their roles in creating a unique and extraordinary read, as well as what’s next for this creative team.
Filled with authentic stories of 22 real-life Zapponians, “The Power of Wow” gives readers insight into the not-so-secret world of Zappos, delving into such subjects as Holacracy, Market-Based Dynamics, and, of course, customer service. This book has a lot of WOW, determination, passion, growth, learning, and … a little fun and weirdness.
