The role of procalcitonin (PCT) in SARS-CoV-2 has been unclear. The first part of the presentation will evaluate whether PCT concentrations can stratify and prognosticate secondary bacterial superinfection and patient outcome in the setting of SARS-CoV-2 infection. In the second part of the presentation, the role of PCT and stewardship recommendations in decreasing length of antibiotics therapy in pneumonia patients will be discussed.
