Breadfruit rava fry is a traditional recipe, in this recipe Breadfruit is sliced, marinated with spice powders, coated with rava and shallow fried. This breadfruit fry is served as a side dish or snack.
There are plenty of health benefits of breadfruit. It's an energy-rich food and a good source of complex carbohydrates, fiber, and minerals such as potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, and zinc.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon water by hand over the breadfruit slices, cover and cook to speed up cooking. Do not skip asafoetida (hing). It imparts a delectable taste and flavour. Also, breadfruit is flatulent in nature. So hing helps to digest breadfruit well.
Once Breadfruit cooked, remove them off the frying pan immediately, or they tend to get hard on the surface exposed to heat.
