STORYLINE:
Leaders of Saddam Hussein's tribe buried the ousted dictator's elder sons, Odai and Qusai, and a grandson Saturday, their bodies wrapped in Iraqi flags in a sign the family considered them to be martyrs.

On Saturday morning, the pair were buried in the family cemetery in Tikrit.

They were killed ten days ago in a fierce gun battle with U-S troops in the northern city of Mosul.

The burial stayed low-key, but later in the day several American soldiers were wounded in bomb attacks on military convoys the city.

The Tigris River city remains one of the most volatile areas in the country.
