A solor storm, or coronal mass ejection in the morning on Wednesday, March 30 means that the Earth is expecting a moderate magnetic storm due to the outburst of the sun's mass and atmosphere. This means the northern lights, or Aurora Borealis will flare up and be visible across several northern U.S. states, baring clear skies of course.
For the Spokane area, a clearing sky, particularly across central Washington means that some in the Inland Northwest will have a great opportunity to see the lights in dark areas away from the city lights and metro areas.
Up With KREM Meteorologist Thomas Patrick explains why we have this chance to see the northern lights and how strong the even is expected to be. Be sure to follow him on Twitter at [ Ссылка ]
