As the coronavirus continues to mutate, new evidence reveals how effective existing COVID-19 vaccines are against Omicron.

The variant's evasiveness and potential mutations means it's likely vaccines will need to be modified too. The World Health Organization is studying that now, while both Pfizer and Moderna are developing a modified shot to specifically target the Omicron variant.
