Basically originated in Nagaland, this popular north-east inspirer #naga #chicken Curry is a simple spicy and soupy chicken recipe that doesn't need any oil. The heat from green chillies and taste of bamboo shoots makes it unique and flavorsome. It is not only piquant in taste but also full of nutrition with goodness of chicken and Greens
Naga style chicken is best served warm with steamed rice.
Ingredients:
Chicken on bone
चिकन
1 kg
Bamboo shoot
बम्बू शूट
2 tbsp
Crushed ginger garlic
अदरक लहसुन कुटा हुआ
2 tsp
Green chillies
हरी मिर्च
10-12
Tomatoes(halved)
टमाटर
4 nos
Chopped onions
प्याज़
2 nos
Meat masala
मीट मसाला
2 tsp
Coriander leaves
धनिया पत्ता
a handful
Colocasia leaves(arbi)
अरबी के पत्ते
3-4 pieces
Salt
नमक
2 tsp
Black pepper
काली मिर्च
1 tsp
Lemon juice
नींबू का रस
1 tbsp
Water
पानी
1 liter
Procedure:
Heat 1litre of water in a pan
पानी को गर्म करने रख दें
Add tomatoes
टमाटर डाल दें
Cover and blanch the tomatoes
ढक कर पकाएं
Remove on a plate and peel of the skin.
प्लेट में निकाल कर छिलका उतार दे
Chop the tomatoes roughly
टमाटर को अंदाज से काट लें
Put them back into the water
वापस पानी में डाल दें
Add salt, pepper,ginger and garlic paste
उसमे नमक, काली मिर्च, अदरक- लहसुन डाल दें
bring to a rolling boil
अच्छी तरह उबाल लें आये
Add chicken pieces
चिकन डाल दें
Add bamboo shoot.
बम्बू शूट डालें
Add green chillies
हरी मिर्च डाल दें
Cover and cook the chicken for 10 minutes
ढक कर 10 मिनट पकाएं
Add coriander leaves
हरा धनिया डाल दें
Add colocasia leaves.
अरबी के पत्ते डालें
Add meat masala
मीट मसाला दाल देव
simmer till chicken is completely cooked.
चिकन पकने तक धीमी आंच पर पकाएं
Add lemon juice and stir.
नींबू का रस डाल दें
Turn off the flame.
आंच बंद कर दें!
