This video explains some of the complications that are involved with using a simulated trading service to practice or test trading strategies. The main thing is that many platforms are not providing a realistic simulated trading service and most users are not even aware of this. There are examples to accompany each point in the video. We discussed queue position as well as exchange matching algorithms, both are important aspects to how an order will trade in a real market environment. This video is aimed at helping less experienced traders to better understand simulated trading.
