Period cramps are not normal [KEEP READING]
🫠 So many of us struggle with cramps and painful cycles and they aren’t something we have to put up with… (I have tonssss of posts about why period cramps aren’t normal and what to do about them!)
My goal with clients is always to address cramps at the root, and cramp bark 🌿 is one of those tools that I feel has amazing uses for acute discomfort, but I also love using with each cycle for preventative care and maintenance because of its benefits!
🫖 Cramp bark is one of my favorite herbal tools because of how quickly and efficiently it works, and this mocktail is a fun little treat when I’m on my period 🩸
📝 RECIPE:
1 tsp of cramp bark steeped for 5-10 mins in 8 oz of warm water (not boiling)
1-2 tbsp of ginger syrup (or another sweetener)
Juice from 1/2 of a lemon 🍋
Topped with sparkling ✨water
⭐️ Note: You can make a batch of the tea ahead of time and cool it or you can make it like I did here! I just put it into a shaker with an ice cube to cool it down.
And as always! Do your research and double check with your doc before adding in any new supplements/ herbs to ensure it’s safe for you 🫶
