Lyta Alexander started her career on Babylon 5 on January 3rd 2257 as the station's first commercial telepath on commission from the Psi Corps. Shortly after her arrival, she was instrumental in thwarting an assasination attempt on Vorlon Ambassador Kosh of which was also linked to framing Commander Jeffrey Sinclair for his murder. During the investigation, she became the first human to have ever physically seen and touched a Vorlon when Dr. Kyle cracked open Kosh’s encounter suit...and from that moment, her life changed forever.

Lyta’s history with Babylon 5 is plagued with fear and distrust, even though she was at the center of many of the most influential events that shaped the course of the Third Age of Mankind. Her contributions were many, yet she was always kept at a distance from most of those who she considered colleagues and friends. And when Byron finally showed her how all telepaths were seen and treated as slaves to the whims of their governments, she realized the truth of her existence; that she and all of her fellow telepaths were only valuable as long as they provided their service. Lyta gave so much of herself to everyone else’s cause, only wanted kindness and respect in return and received neither, not even from those who she considered friends.
