The darting world was left in something that could be described as a blend of shock and awe when Gerwyn Price completed his transformation into a Super Sayin during the World Darts Championship that currently takes place in Alexandria Palace. In his post match interview, he stated that he measured a power level of 8998 in himself the night before the QF against Gurney. "That's 2000 more than media and the so called 'experts' thought. Pitiful." When asked if he underwent special training to accelerate the increase of his power level, he just laughed. "That's what everybody would like it to be, eh? It's just how I'm made, come on. Build a bridge and get over it! BUAAHH!". To back up his claim, he agreed to a public measurement of his power level which peaked at 9,000.23. It remains unclear how Price has reached such a high power level in such a short time on the circuit. He is the first Darts player with a power level of over 9000; Phil "The Power" Taylor, at his peak, came in at a power level of 7885, only ever topped by "Mighty" Michael van Gerwen, who never agreed to take a public measurement of his power level, but provided approved documents that suggest that it may have lied in the range of 8100-8250 shortly after his second World Title.
