China's BYD has inaugurated its inaugural electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in Thailand, marking its entry into Southeast Asia. The facility, located in Rayong province, represents a $490 million investment and is designed to produce up to 150,000 vehicles annually. Thailand's Board of Investment highlighted the country's role as a pivotal hub for exporting vehicles to ASEAN and beyond.
